Best Practices when planning for times when the API is down


Hi there,

My customer is building connections in our API and is worried about down time.

If the connection is not working between the customer app and hubspot for even an hour, this could be a big problem for them.

Is there anything they can do to protect themselves? Queuing or anything?




Hi @Luke_Curry, can you give a bit more info? Are they experiencing downtimes with the APIs? We haven't reported any downtimes recently with our endpoints so this should be a very rare occurrence. Many programmers will attempt to retry a request if it fails. If a request fails they could add it to a database or queue as you mentioned.
