We're building an integration with HubSpot, and want to be able to tell a customer if they hit our plan limit and need to upgrade their plan to get more contacts. Is there a way to show this notification in HubSpot?
We were hoping there'd be something like a "Notifications API" but didn't see anything. The alternative plan is to send an automated email to these users but an in-app notification would be preferable.
There isn't currently a public notifications API, but I can totally see the use case for that. If you have the inclination, I'd strongly recommend visiting the Ideas Forum on the HubSpot Community and posting this as an idea. For the time being, the best course of action would be to send an automated email.
