Cannot Use Closed Date on Scheduled Deals in Workflow
We are trying to create workflows based on deal closed dates. However, we have run into a problem where if a deal is “scheduled” and has a closed date, that closed date is considered invalid. Our CRM that we use in-house supports this, but apparently Hubspot does not. We need to create workflows in Hubspot based on this information.
As far as I can tell, there are 2 potential solutions to this problem:
Option 1:
We are given access to deal custom parameters in workflows. As an example, we should be able to add a custom date parameter such as “sample_date” and create a workflow based on if that date was before or after memorial day.
Honestly, it a mystery why this isn’t an existing feature. If we can’t automate based on all the information we are putting into Hubspot, then why are we putting it in there in the first place?
Option 2:
We are given access to closed dates on scheduled jobs.
I’m not sure I understand the issue. Are you trying to enroll contacts in workflows based on the close date of their associated deals? Can you send me a link to the workflow in question?
