When using Engagement API If a contact already exists and there's a form submission with the same phone number 2 different contacts are being created. Is there a way forms/text be connected to the existing contact using engagement API? Also using engagement API we are able to get rid of the email when creating a new contact can forms and texts do the same?
@tctucr HubSpot deduplicates off email address and not via a phone number or another prospect The engagements API simply makes an instance of an engagements object and doesn't create a contact. It can only create an engagement and then associate it to a contact
