Filtering contacts by form conversion URL

I am submitting a form via API, and sending a pageUrl with this request.

Is there any way to filter or segment these form submissions by pageUrl?

I'd like to build a smart list of people who submitted the form from page A vs. page B vs. page C.

Exporting form submissions as .csv is not what I'm looking for. I need to dynamically segment these people so I can enter them into workflows, etc.

This problem is marked as having an "Accepted solution", but I'd argue that "Not possible" is not a good solution.

The custom property hack is probably an OK workaround, but it remains an undocumented hack. It is not trivial to explain to customers.

Is there any possibility for this Idea to land on a feature backlog for HubSpot?

You can segment lists with criteria like this:

Contact has submitted Example Form on Example page

But only for HubSpot hosted pages. It's not currently possible to segment contacts by form submission page for external pages. Depending on your use case, you could base your list segmentation on a custom property that you submit based on the page the form is embedded on.

What kind of custom property and how would it catch the "external" URL that the form is placed on?
