Get amount of views of blog posts

#1

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to get the popularity of a blog post in hubspot.
From what i can find in the documentation and the forums this is not possible.
Seems like a major flaw in the whole hubspot concept.
It’s a tool made to track everything, yet this information can’t be used.
So… worthless.
Why use hubspot then?

Thx in advance,
matbro

Hi @matbro360,

HubSpot tracks the number of views for all blog posts; this and other data can be found under the ‘Analyze’ tab of your blog. This data is internal to HubSpot, and is not accessible via the API.

Hi @Derek_Gervais,

Thanks for the answer!
I know it’s tracked and visible inside hubspot.
It’s even possible to get the most popular blog posts with hubl code.
Then why not let the API access it?
Very annoying.

Hi @matbro360,

An Analytics API just isn’t something we’ve built yet. it’s something we’ve thought about, but I’m not aware of any timeframes related to an analytics API. If you have the inclination, I would encourage you to check out the Ideas Forum on the HubSpot Community. There, you can create a post including your use case that product and other customers can see.
