Google Analytics UTM Override, is it necessary for Hubspot to capture Adwords UTM variables?



Working with a client who has enabled "Allow manual tagging (UTM values) to override auto-tagging (GCLID values) for Google Ads and Search Ads 360 integration".

I understand that Hubspot can't use the GCLID to get the campaign variables, but is it necessary to Override UTM in GA for Hubspot to capture utm_campaign, utm_medium, utm_source, and utm_term from the AdWords Final URL?

I've seen the same thing with Marketo.


Hi @Internexio, Google auto-tagging is compatible with HubSpot's ad tracking template. So even with auto-tagging enabled, our tracking template (which includes utm_campaign etc) will still be able to get tracked in HubSpot. You can read more here
