Hitting deals update API usage limit

We need to batch update a number of deals, sometimes a few hundreds of them as a batch. We have to call deal update API (e.g., /deals/v1/deal/:dealId) once per deal. However there is a 10 requests per second cap (https://developers.hubspot.com/apps/api_guidelines). This cap makes it prohibitively slow to update hundreds of deals as a batch (e.g., updating 600 deals takes at least a minute). Could you let me know the options we may have to workaround this issue?

Any advice is appreciated.

@coffeeocean have you tried the update a group of deals endpoint?

This is fantastic! Is this a new endpoint? I don’t remember seeing it while I read the api docs many times. Or maybe I just missed it :frowning: But either way, thank you so much! I’ll give it a try.

Hi @coffeeocean – yes, this is a new endpoint that we added, since this has been a much-requested API feature. It’s been up for less than a month, which is probably why you didn’t see it in the docs before. Enjoy!
