Incorrect Email Subject Shown in Contact Timeline

I have used the Engagements API to create emails associated with contacts.

  • When I (logged in as the user who’s OAuth credentials were used to create the email) view the Contact’s timeline from the HubSpot UI the title/first line of the created email shows the subject of the email correctly, as created via the API
  • when a different user logs into HubSpot and views the Contact’s timeline from the HubSpot UI the title/first line of the created email is a hard coded string “New email”, the same for all emails.

Something is clearly wrong as all users should see the same email title for the same email. Advice appreciated, thanks.
