There isn't any distinction between contacts that are returned by the 'Get recently modified contacts' endpoint because they were updated or because they were created; in both cases, we're just detecting that a contact's 'Recently modified date' property was updated and adding them to the recently modified list.
If you need to get contacts that were created, you should use the 'Recently created contacts' endpoint:
