Question: Legacy Customer Import, need to set the original customer date


I’m setting up an import of all of my legacy customers; the customer date needs to reflect the original customer date with my company, long before today. From the research, it appears that Hubspot sets the new customer date automatically–could be wrong here.

Do I need to create a custom property with the original customer date?

@gageisgage are you looking at the Close Date (closedate) property? The property is automatically set when the lifecycle stage of the record is set to customer, but only if the property hasn’t been set yet, so you can manually set that when importing contacts.


Thanks for following up. What I noticed is that I can’t adjust the milestone dates. I want to edit the “create date” or when they first became a subscriber.
