Seeing a lot of updated users

We are seeing all of our user's property of "Last modified date" is being updated nearly everyday or in a rolling update.

The update seems to be coming from the "Contact priority" and the "Likelihood to close" fields.

We use the "Last modified date" field for reporting and this is throwing off our reports. Is there anything we can do about this?

The 'Last Modified Date' property is the date any property on a contact was modified; if the 'Contact priority' or 'Likelihood to close' properties are being updated, then it should be updating the 'Last Modified Date' property. If you believe that the last modified date property shouldn't have been updated, can you send me a link to an example contact so that I can take a closer look?
