Workflow webhook not be called sometimes

#1

Hi

I want to track all website visit and form fillout events realtime, so I setup a workflow,
the trigger of this workflow is visit any website or submit any form, and the action is call my webhook.

Sometimes it works fine but sometimes the webhook not be called, I double checked the connectivity of my server and it’s ok.

Any idea?

Thanks

Hi @peonone,

Would you mind expanding on how / why you’re using an external system to track visits and conversions? HubSpot itself is very good at this

How do you know the webhook isn’t being called?

A couple of things I would check ::

  • Ensure that the enrolment criteria of the workflow allows enrolment
  • Cross check your workflow history with wherever the webhook is pushing data to

Let me know how you go. Happy to troubleshoot with you further if required.

Hi @kfischmann

Thanks for your reply.

why you’re using an external system to track visits and conversions?

We need do some integration with our own app.

How do you know the webhook isn’t being called?

I started tcpdump on the server first, then submitted one form, and don’t see any incoming packets and access log of the web server, then I requested another Web API on my server, and I saw the packets and the access logs.

Ensure that the enrolment criteria of the workflow allows enrolment

Yes, I’m sure. The criteria is very simple.

Cross check your workflow history with wherever the webhook is pushing data to

Now I’m not able to check this, will do it later and post a new reply for the result.

Thank you

Hi @kfischmann

Here is the screenshots that showing submitted a form but not enrolled the workflow.

There was enrolled history on Sep, but I just submitted a form today, so the contact should be enrolled again and the webhook should be called, right?
